Nazareth College is a private liberal arts college in Rochester, which is a city in Monroe County, in the US state of New York, with a population of nearly 220 000 inhabitants, which makes it the state's third most populous city, after New York City and Buffalo.
Nazareth was established in 1924 and was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph. It is academically organized into the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Health and Human Services, the School of Education, and the School of Management, through which its offers more than 40 four-year undergraduate programs, and more than 20 master's degree programs, as well as a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, which combines Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy, into a six-year program.
Nazareth's athletic teams are nicknamed the Golden Flyers and they compete in NCAA Division III. Their distinctive colors are purple and gold.
